Applied Anatomy for Osteopathic Students

APPLIED ANATOMY DESIGNED FOR THE USE OF OSTEOPATHIC STUDENTS AND PRACTITIONERS AS AN AID IN THE ANATOMICAL EXPLANATION OF DISEASE FROM AN OSTEOPATHIC VIEWPOINT.
BY MARION EDWARD CLARK, D. 0.,

Book in PDF format, originally published 1906. Contains 687 pages with illustrations

Realizing the close relation existing between anatomy and osteopathic therapeutics, that the science is built on anatomical and physiological knowledge, I in 1901 outlined a course in a subject that I chose to call, Applied Anatomy. This book is the outgrowth of that attempt to anatomically explain the signs, cause and treatment of disease.
The object of this work is to place osteopathy on a scientific basis by offering anatomical and physiological proof that our etiology of disease is correct; to demonstrate that disturbance of function is, as a rule, due to structural changes, and to point out the significance of anatomical changes; and to furnish the practitioner a ready reference for the explaining of lesions ancl their effects. Anatomical details baYe been avoided unless of importance in the explanation of the subject.
